Get ready for a fun, action packed day trolling for walleye on Saginaw Bay with Captain Lance Valentine!
We will fish a variety of different locations throughout the summer as walleye follow bait around the Bay. Some classic areas we may fish include The Black Hole, Pinconning Bar, The Fingers, the Cigar, Calahan Reef, Point Au Gres, Buoy 1, and Corriyan Reef. The most common set up will be crankbaits and spoons trolled behind inline planer boards. This allows us to cover large areas of the bay in search of constantly migrating fish.
Lance Valentine's Saginaw Bay charter trips depart from:
Linwood Beach Marina
DO NOT USE YOUR GPS DIRECTIONS...THEY ARE WRONG!From I-75 exit at Exit #173 (Linwood Rd). Head East on Linwood Road until the road dead ends at the Bay. Just before the water there will be a road to the right with a sign for Linwood Beach Marina. Turn right (South). Continue South into the marina. Look for Lance’s White Dodge RAM pickup with a white topper near the dry-docked boats on your left (East) and park nearby. Lance's Angler Qwest pontoon will be parked in slip K1.

Number of Anglers:
Lance can accommodate 1-6 anglers for his Saginaw Bay charter trips. If you have a larger group, give Lance a call before you make your reservations online and he can arrange for a larger boat or a multiple boat trip.
What To Bring:
Warm clothes and rain gear are a must just in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. Warm temperatures on shore can be a little deceiving. Lake Huron water temperatures stay cool most of the sumer and a north wind can cool off the Bay very quickly. Please use gear bags that can be securely zipped closed.
Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and water to drink during the heat of summer. A good wide brimmed hat is also a plus.
We have room for a small cooler, but be sure it has a top that can be latched down tightly. There is cooler space in the boat, so pack your items in ziploc bags for easy storage and retreival from the cooler. Please bring drinks with removable tops and/or closeable travel mugs.Bring a cooler and ziploc bags for your catch. We will clean the fish for you, but do not have access to ziploc bags for taking the fish home.Absolutely NO alcohol or non-prescription drugs are allowed on board at anytime.
All anglers 17 or older are required to have a valid Michigan fishing license. Fishing licenses can be purchased online. Learn more
Please note: you must have your fishing license purchased BEFORE you arrive at the dock for your trip.
Food & Drinks:
Bring any food and drink you would like to eat during the day in a SMALL cooler. Please make sure your drinks have a twist on cap to prevent spills in the boat (no cans please)
No Alcohol or Drugs Allowed - sorry but there is ABSOLUTELY NO alcohol or non-prescription drugs allowed on any Lance Valentine Walleye 101 Charter Trip.
Lance will get your fish cleaned up after your trip. You're welcome to bring your own fillet knives - power is available for electric knives. Please bring some gallon zip lock bag for the fillets and a cooler with ice to transport your catch and keep it fresh on the ride home.
There are several hotels and motels conveniently located in the Saginaw Bay area. These are generally not luxury accommodations but are "fisherman friendly" and keep you close to the fishing action.
